Approximately 75,000 attendees descended upon Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California during two weekends, Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16, to listen to cult favorites such as Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Sir Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The Who for the inaugural Desert Trip Festival. Classic Party Rentals built out over 750,000 square feet of tenting for the event. Classic Palm Desert supplied 200 propane tanks, fryers, refrigeration, convection ovens, grills and flat tops for more than 20 of the culinary vendors at the event. Classic also provided 10,000 pieces of glassware, 5,000 pieces of china and 300 tables for vendors such as Best Beverage and Wolfgang Puck Catering. Loads of furniture and 200 linear feet of bar space was also supplied for the festival. The build included a 40-meter terrace round bar structure and 40-meter photo gallery. Additionally, Classic Tents set up the structure for Sir Paul McCartney’s after party, which included a customized 18 meters x 25 meters Arcum structure with interior gables and a custom 18-meter Arcum liner. Classic Party Rentals also provided the interior fabric swag. Classic Tents has also supplied tenting for the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals for more than 10 years.
