Montez’ Experience Includes Three Olympic Games, 18 Kentucky Derbies and 15 Super Bowls
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Classic Party Rentals, the leading event rental company in the U.S., has hired industry veteran Cathy Montez as Senior Event Consultant. Montez brings to Classic over 25 years of event experience, including an exceptional history coordinating large events with tenting and structures.
Most recently, Montez served as Vice President-Director of National Sales and Operations for Frederick, Maryland-based Signature Special Event Services. She began her career in Los Angeles with Academy Tent & Canvas. Throughout her career, Montez has managed overall warehouse and delivery operations for both Academy and Signature.
Her event experience includes work with three Olympic competitions (1984 – Los Angeles, 1996 – Atlanta, 2002 – Salt Lake City); 18 Kentucky Derbies, 15 Super Bowls, as well as golf’s U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Ryder Cup and L.A. Open.
Montez’ responsibilities with Classic will include working with the company’s tent divisions to develop new business and manage major projects, including the 2008 and 2009 U.S. Open Championships and PGA Championships, as well as the 2008 Ryder Cup.
She will work from her Hollywood, Florida office, but will maintain a presence within each of Classic’s centers of excellence throughout the country. The addition of Montez’ experience and expertise further strengthens Classic’s position as the premier tenting company in the United States, offering unmatched capabilities with curbed beam and A-Frame structures.
